If there is one snack that screams Stranger Things, it is waffles. Eleven’s favourite treat has become an icon of the series, and now you can bring that magic straight into your kitchen. This recipe is a simple, delicious way to turn your next movie night into a true Hawkins feast.
Ingredients
Two cups of flour
One tablespoon of sugar
One tablespoon of baking powder
Half a teaspoon of salt
Two eggs
One and a half cups of milk
Half a cup of melted butter
A dash of vanilla extract
Optional toppings: whipped cream, strawberries, chocolate sauce, or even sprinkles
Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir gently until just mixed. Do not overmix.
Preheat your waffle iron and pour in the batter. Cook until golden brown and crisp.
Top with your favourite extras. For a true Stranger Things twist, use plenty of whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce to make your waffles look like they came straight from the Upside Down.
The Hawkins Touch
Serve your waffles on a stack in the middle of the table, just like Eleven would devour them. Pair them with a cold soda in a retro cinema cup for the perfect Stranger Things at-home vibe.
